Confession of faith
We believe that God the Father is the Creator of the entire universe, loves all people and desires to establish a personal relationship with them (Gen 1:1; Deut. 6:4; Mt 28:19; John 10:30).
We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God ( John 10:33) and became fully man, born of a virgin ( Mt 1:23), prepared with a completely sinless life on earth (Heb 4:15) as the promised Messiah to take away our sins through his victorious death on the cross (1 Cor. 15:3), physically risen from the dead on the third day by the power of the Holy Spirit (1 Co 15:4), brought back to the side of God the Father (Mk 16:19) and always there to intercede for us (Heb 7:25), in his bodily return to earth in power and glory (Acts 1:11; Rev 19:11-16).
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who dwells in every believer and gives him advice, help and comfort and inspires him to live a fruitful life. But we also believe in the necessity of being equipped with the Holy Spirit, which is not automatic, and which we can ask for (Lk 11:13; Eph 5:18) in order to make a difference in a world that needs change.
We believe that all people are by nature separated from God and responsible for their own sin (Rom 3:23), but that redemption and forgiveness of sin is given freely through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ (Rom 3:24; Eph 2:8-10), for all who put their trust away from themselves in Jesus and believe in him (John 3:16-19).
We believe in life after death, both for all those who have made a decision of faith in Jesus Christ for eternal life, as well as eternal judgment for all those who have refused God’s love. (John 5:28+29).
We believe that the only basis of Christian fellowship is the love (agape) of Christ, which comes not from us but through faith in God, which is greater than any differences of nationality, culture or status we have (1 Cor 13; 1 John 4:16-17).
We believe in the inspiration of the Bible as the Word given to us by God, which serves as a guide for our lives and helps us to live a life of freedom and love for God and people (2 Tim 3:16, 17; 2 Peter 1:21).
